Have you ever thought about the origins of Roti? Of course not – you were too busy eating. And, who could blame you for forgetting

about all, to truly enjoy the first But, if you were so inclined to know, here’s an interesting fact for the foodies out there: Roti, in the wrap form typically found in Caribbean restaurants, originated in Southern Trinidad in the mid 1940s, according to Wikipedia. Originally, roti only referred to the Indian unleavened bread, made from stoneground wholemeal flour.

Like other “fast foods,” it was the convenience and the ease, that made the new form of eating roti and curry together a hit.

But, who cares about the history. It just tastes so good.
