FAQs about running a franchise

What type of locations fit into Jerk King site criteria?
Jerk King franchises are generally 1,000 to 1,400 square feet; however, smaller or larger stores are an option. Ideal locations include neighbourhood and community strip malls, power centres, shopping malls, universities, airports and downtown business district centres. An optimal area would be densely populated; have significant pedestrian and vehicle traffic; be open and allow for proper sign and front window visibility; and would be located near numerous traffic generators, i.e. businesses, schools, etc.

How much money can I make from a Jerk King investment?
Since the actual results of individual franchises are based on factors that are not within the control of Jerk King, we do not provide estimates of profits or revenues. However, after consulting with a Jerk King Franchise Development Representative and reviewing the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), you will have the opportunity to contact our existing franchisees regarding their experiences.

Is experience in running a small business required?
While small business experience is helpful, it is not required. You will receive step-by-step training at Jerk King Home Office in the important aspects of operating your business, including operations and marketing. There will also be training sessions in nutrition and customer service. You will receive hands-on training behind the food bar and on the sales floor. During training, you will receive and learn how to use the Jerk King Manuals.

Do I have to run the store?
You are required to run your store, at least in the initial phases. Our research indicates that the most successful stores are those operated by the owner(s) or a seasoned retail manager.

How much training do I receive?
Twenty days of training are split up into three segments. Each franchisee receives one day of orientation (pre-store opening), 12 consecutive days of management training (at the corporate training facility) prior to opening and seven days of on-site training (four days prior to opening and three days after opening).

Can I open multiple stores?
